The first inter-Asian workshop of the PURSEA (Renovated University Pilotage in Southeast Asia) project took place from September 21 to 23 at the University of Economics and Law in Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam). This meeting brought together 8 Asian universities of the project, namely the University of Hanoi, the University of Architecture of Hanoi, the Higher School of Transport and Communication, the University of Economics and Law - National University of Ho Chi Minh City, Polytechnic Institute - Danang University, University of Social and Human Sciences - National University of Ho Chi Minh City, Cambodia Institute of Technology and Cambodia University of Health Sciences. These institutions are the beneficiaries of the results of the project.


This was an opportunity for the beneficiary universities of the project in Asia and the European coordinators of the work packages (WP) to provide feedback. The participants shared their advantages and difficulties in the implementation of WP 2, 3, 4 of the project which consist in developing a self-diagnosis of the degree and characteristics of autonomy, an analysis of the external environment and a self-assessment. evaluation of the development strategy of their establishments.

During this workshop, which took place by videoconference, Sabine Goulin and Thierry Bontems, two experts specializing in the development of tools related to the management and governance of HEIs and very involved in the coordination of this project gave an interview returned on the AUF site.
