University of Architecture of Hanoi - Vietnam (UAH)
Presentation

Founded in 1969, Hanoi Architecture University (HAU) UAHis the first university of architecture in Vietnam. Today, it gathers 11,000 students with 2,000 graduates per year, 410 teachers, 380 technical and administrative staff around 9 faculties: architecture, urban and rural planning, civil engineering, urban management, infrastructure techniques and urban environment, interior design and fine arts, post-graduate training, computer science and applied technology.

After 20 years of fruitful collaboration, on November 12, 2018, an inter-institutional framework agreement was signed between the Ministry of Culture (France), the National Higher Schools of Architecture (and Landscape) of Paris-Belleville, Normandy, Bordeaux and Toulouse and the HAU. The objective of this agreement is to build together the Francophone delocalized Bachelor-Master-Doctorate program.

Following the university dynamics within the country, like all universities, HAU is asked to prepare its prospects for empowerment, there is a desire for academic and scientific recognition both national, regional and international. In 2018, thanks to the support of the AUF, the HAU began to implement the project "Accompaniment to the strengthening of university governance in relation to the quality approach". The development of international cooperation is therefore a major axis in the strengthening of the quality of the university, on the other hand, the French-speaking LMD training will be the first to experiment with the quality approach. In the new context, the elaboration and implementation of a strategic development plan is a key issue for the University of Architecture of Hanoi.

HAUHAU

Role in the project

HAU supports WP5 in collaboration with the University of Lorraine. The WP5 is a strategic development WP: a strategic planning mechanism through the implementation of operational action plans of each HEI. The participation of the HAU, through its international expertise in higher education and research, will contribute to the elaboration of the strategic development plans of the partner HEIs.

HAU is co-hosting with P1-HANU the internal committee meetings of the project teams in Hanoi as part of the Launching Sequence 1.
