University of Western Brittany - France (UBO)

The University of Western Brittany, UBO (1971), UBOis a comprehensive university based in Brittany, France. UBO offers more than 300 degree programs in the sciences, humanities, technology, medicine and law to 22,000 students, 9% of whom are international (representing 100 nationalities). More than 100 doctoral theses are defended each year. With 39 research laboratories and 1,300 researchers, UBO's research is organized around four main research areas: marine, social and human sciences, digital sciences and mathematics, health and agro-materials.

UBO encourages interdisciplinary exchanges and the emergence of innovative research projects. UBO is experienced in managing European projects since the 4th FP and is involved in 21 H2020 research projects (4.9M€), in 9 Erasmus+ projects, in 3 Interreg programs and in many other European initiatives. The UBO therefore has extensive experience in project management, with support in IPR and funding

 

Role in the project

The role of UBO in this project is to participate in the development of the university self-evaluation plan, in agreement with the University of Health Sciences of Phnom-Penh (USS-P8), leader of WP4. The aim is to use the experience gained in the evaluation of medical faculties to transpose it to a wider university field. It is also about exploiting the experience gained from long-standing collaborations with different universities in South-East Asia.
